Does whitening toothpaste really whiten your teeth?

Whitening toothpaste with no addition of active hydrogen peroxide (or with insufficient concentration of whitening ingredients) can not whiten teeth to the extent you will actually see the difference. Whitening toothpaste that contains just a small abrasive particles (abrasives), is only partially able to make your teeth whiter. That happens because of removal of teeth stains on the surface, that acummulated over time due to food colors, beverages or cigarettes. The tooth color can also be influenced by other factors, such as aging, oral hygiene, medicines and dental trauma.

What is the most efficient whitening system?

The effect of whitening toothpaste is not as good as you would want it. Teeth can noticeable be whitened only in dental office with a help of professional whitening systems.
